The Be a Tree Teacher Kit is a highly acclaimed, successful program for teaching children about dog body language and to be safe around dogs. What the kit contains:

  • A set of 15 jpeg files to print high resolution posters 11" x 17"
  • A pdf file containing the script that goes with each posters that you can affix to the back of the posters after you have the posters printed
  • A wmv file video that shows a demonstration of the entire program
  • A Power Point show that you can use with a projector for large groups
  • A full script and 1 page script summary as well as all handouts from the kit

Here are two examples of the Be a Tree Teacher Kit being used in a grade 3 classroom. The first video demonstrates interactive games for the students including Simon says, real life scenarios for the students to act out, and a spinner game involving photos of dogs in different moods where the students need to show the appropriate action they would take if they encountered that dog.

The second video is a demonstration of the "tools" used to keep children safe around dogs. This recaps the key points of the presentation.
