Course Overview

Be Doggone Smart at Work is an occupational dog bite prevention and dog safety course for service providers and workers who may encounter dogs on the job. This is intended for workers who are not required to interact with dogs as part of the job. The course does not give any instruction on dealing with dogs as may be required of kennel staff or dog wardens, for example. This course focuses on prevention and does not advocate defense or aggression towards dogs. You will be able to take a quiz and receive a certificate of completion.

Topics covered include:

  • how to read dog body language
  • how to assess environmental clues,
